I don't understand why CBS didn't cut this scene out, Varner behaved inhumanly and then CBS did.

Funny to see Tai get outraged. He forcefully kissed a young straight male contestant, Caleb, on the lips simply because he found him to be cute, and then laughed it off. Good to know Survivor thinks sexual harassment is fine as long as it’s a gay guy doing it.

When a contestant who is a woman disguised as a caricature of a “man” that she created to the point that she’s gotten away with being considered a “male” contestant on the show, it’s fair to be called out as deception. It is a lie. No matter the era or what social trends are acceptable, a female in the guise of a man is (or vice versa) is a lie; an illusion intended to deceive others in benefit of the person’s own satisfaction and [alter] ego that they’ve created. “It reveals the ability to deceive.”

Jeff saying Varner telling millions of people as well… if Zeke didn’t give the “OK” - SURVIVOR wouldn’t have shown it. Although, I do wonder how they would have edited it. I’m sure they just wouldn’t have shown the tribal and just said Varner left for personal reasons. They would have spun it. They have randomly kicked people off the show before w/o showing the incident. Zeke really did CBS a favor though, because that would have been a tricky one to edit. And I’m happy for him that he didn’t want to be known as the first trans person ever to play SURVIVOR - he just wanted to have his play based on his actions. I respect that

I get that sometimes people get desperate on the show to stay and are willing to throw anything at the wall hoping it sticks. This “strategy” was beyond flawed. Coming from a gay man on top of it. Varner was a very likable guy and I liked him on SURVIVOR. That moment(s) will forever ruin his life. Unfortunately for him, Zeke told CBS/Jeff it was okay to show that “outing.”
